The Moon and Stars

The moon and stars both are things that I admire. They illuminate the sky when everything else is dark. When I want to capture this beauty on camera is shows up as a huge light. I have been thinking about light, the moon, the sun, and the stars. They all radiate some type of light. It got me thinking how God is the light in this dark, dark, dark...world.

 I go to this special place every summer that always brings brings a smile to my face. This place is paradise and beautiful. This place is in Hidden Springs, Arizona. Now I know that is not you were expecting, you were thinking a island or the some place in the the mountains. No no.. that is no where near this place. Yes this place is dry, hot, dirty, dusty, and not many people know where it is. But I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.Your probably wondering why I'm telling you about this place. Well it is amazing when the sun it out, you are able to see the mountains, water springs, and of course the amazing sunshine. But it is even more beautiful when the sun goes down. The sky illuminates with the stars and moon. You don't even need a flashlight because It is so bright with all the stars. I tried to count all the stars one time when I was out there let's just say I gave up after 10 seconds. And if you lucky enough you may even see a shooting star. Now you are probably asking yourself, what is she lagging about??! Well...light what exactly does that mean to you or even our world/society. 

Well to me right now this very second I am watching lots of flickering of lights. I am watching over the water, when across the way is a city that has a lot of lights!! Yes, I know this is very simplistic. But so is the light of Jesus Christ. In a way this light is very simple, but also so complicated. Some think that Jesus is just a man who came to earth, some don't even know that. Our job is to spread this amazing radiant light to others. 

So the question is, how are the moon and stars related to Jesus Christ. Well #1 he created both the moon and stars, #2 he made them so we can admire his masterpiece, and #3 they show light which then leads into the light of this world how is Jesus. Now #2 and 3 are both my opinions, but I do believe that everything that God created, he did it all for us. and because he made everything then it is beautiful. So we need to show and spread this love of Jesus Christ to others around us.

Perfection....That's Overrated!!

    Everyone tries to obtain this sense of "perfection". Let me tell you...there is no such thing. In our minds we have a vision of what our lives should look like and then we try to perfect it. For me perfection is straight A's, a 4.3 GPA, a great relationship, and to have plenty of time on my hands. Unfortunately none of these things are true right now. We are persistent constantly trying to "tweak" things in life. Can we let go and just let God take the rains for once? I love how C.S. Lewis puts this into perspective. So let God take hold of your life and try to sit back and enjoy the ride you never know you may enjoy it!! Each time you fall He'll pick you up. S.A.F.E.

Let's be SAFE! That is what the media, our community, and the nation has been saying for almost a week now. We all realize that we MUST practice social distancing so we can protect ourselves and others from COVID-19.  We keep using this word safe which often times puts us in this small box that we have to hide everything in...we have to keep it all to ourselves and we do not share with others.
