Full Of Firsts
Our lives are full of FIRSTS = FACT
We have...
~ our FIRST words..which are actually a cry. This cry has been built up over 10 months and when you finally receive your first intake of oxygen we release it as a cry. If your not crying then something is wrong! (Sorry I was totally nerding out there)
~ then comes our FIRST steps...which everyone tries to capture on camera and if it isn't captured we try to remake it.
~ next our FIRST actual words.... which normally consists of mom or da-da; which to almost every human being is the cutest thing on Earth.
~ then for every year after the age of 4 our FIRST day of school...which is where I am at right now. When we were younger this FIRST day was so much easier, there were no worries of college, adult life, and the overwhelming responsibilities. Before the realities of life settled in this FIRST day was exciting, all you had to worry about was wondering when you would see your best friend, what you were going to have for lunch, or when recess was! Now the FIRST day brings stress, worry, and anxiety.
I have come to wonder what will my FIRST encounter be with my future husband be?
What will my FIRST encounter be with my children?
And the most important: What will my FIRST encounter with the Lord be like?
BIG QUESTIONS are going to be answered this year with college around the corner and I guess I feel like I'm unprepared. So I didn't really know what was going to come out of this post tonight..but I think I figured it out. My questions above won't be answered because as the scripture says below, "what is unseen is eternal."
God has been there through all my FIRSTS and He will continue to be. I just need to give it to Him, because no one knows me better than Him and He will see me through. I found a verse that not only goes for this year, but for every year to come.
For all who are embarking on there FIRSTS here is some inspiration and motivation...

"For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyeshot on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
2 Corinthians 4:17-18
